HMS is an association of composers, songwriters and music publishers and is the legal entity responsible for administering the performing rights of its members and members of Affiliated Societies in St. Lucia . Through reciprocal agreements with it's affiliates HMS has control over the world's music repertoire, that is to say, HMS is responsible for licensing all public use of music in St. Lucia , irrespective of which country the songwriter is from.

HMS est une association de compositeurs, paroliers et éditeurs de musique. C'est l'entité légal qui est chargé de l'administration des droites en ce qui concerne les représentations de ses membres et ceux des Société Affiliés en Ste.Lucie. Grâce aux accords réciproque avec nos adhérents, HMS dirige le repertoire musique du monde. Cela veux dire que HMS est chargé de l’autorisation de l’utilisation publique de la musique en Ste.Lucie, sans tenir compte de la nationalité du parolier/ de la parolière.

Michel “Meshach” Nestor hails from the small village of Choiseul in the south of St. Lucia , in the Caribbean . He was born on August 25, 1969 to a family greatly involved in local St. Lucian Festivals. As a result he grew up in a rich musical environment.
